Better chance for MBA aspirants to grab a seat at IIMs The Union Cabinet on August 27, 2009, approved 7 new IIMs to become operational in two phases at: * Tamil Nadu * Jharkhand * Chhattisgarh * Haryana * Jammu & Kashmir * Uttarakhand * Rajasthan Phase I 4 will start functioning from 2010-11, with an intake of 140: * Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu) * Ranchi (Jharkhand) * Raipur (Chhattisgarh) * Rohtak (Haryana) Phase II Rest 3 will be set up during 2010-2011 and raise intake to 560 per year.
