The position of computer science and engineering field is always bright, it doesn't matter what is the situation on market currently or in future. It all depends on the interest in the field and attitude towards your career.
If your skills are perfectly sharped and pointed then no one can stop you to have a good job. If in any case, you won't get good then don't worry there are n no. of jobs which are of not your level, but it is better to have job rather sitting at home.
the minimum salary of a fresh b.tech(cs) engineer is rs, 2.4 lpa. so if an engineer can get it in this "said" low market, then you can see there are jobs but not good candidate is available.
Undergraduate:
The candidates must pass their Higher Secondary or equivalent examination of W B Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other recognized board/university, with science subjects.
Candidate having a diploma in Engineering/Technology are eligible for lateral entry into the B Tech program.
Post Graduate:
The candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, with Computer or Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects at degree level.
Doctorate:
Candidates must have a Master's degree in the relevant field, from a recognized university.
Admission Procedure:
Undergraduate:
Admission is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB JEE) and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
Admission is done through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET), for the 10% seats into the third semester (2nd year) of B Tech program of the institute. 10% of the seats are filled under the management quota as per the directives of the State Government.
Post Graduate:
Admission is done through the Joint Entrance Examination for Computer Application (JECA) conducted by the state government, and 10% students will be admitted under management quota, as per directive of State Government.
Doctorate:
Candidates interested for research may apply to Director Academy of Technology, mentioning the area of research interest.
