Located in Thrissur district of Kerala, Amala Institute of Medical Sciences is renowned educational institution in the state. The foundation stone of the college was laid in 1973. At present, the college runs different units namely Medical College, College of Nursing, Nursing School, Cancer Research Centre, Ayurvedic Research Centre, a Homeopathic Research centre as well as a Pharmacy Unit.
Amala Institute of Medical Sciences conducts quality education through the aforementioned colleges. Amala Institute of Medical Sciences is affiliated to the University of Calicut and the courses offered by it are recognized by their respective councils. Amala Institute of Medical Sciences has collaboration with Ohio State University College Of Medicine, USA of sharing and exchanging research and other educational belongings.

The aspirants should have passed S.S.L.C Examination.
Diploma:
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.
