Anandamohan College:(????????? ????), Kolkata which is one of the oldest colleges in West Bengal. The evening session of City College (Amherst Street), Calcutta. It was founded by patriotic and selfless Brahmo leader Ananda Mohan Bose. The college is located at 102/1, Raja Rammohan Roy Sarani, Kolkata-700 009. It is one of the City group colleges administered by Brahmo Samaj Education Society , a registered society, constituted by the Sadharan Brahmo Samaj, Kolkata.
The aim of the college according to founders is to promote the cause of education in its highest and widest sense to make education a comprehensive training of the mind , heart and the body and founded on theistic basis conductive to the good of man and glory of God.

Ananda Mohan College is one of the pioneers of educational movement in Bangladesh. This institution was established in 1908 as a tourch bearer of knowledge in this region 21 years before the birth of the University of Dhaka, the oxford of the East. The college has reached its centenary passing through a gradual development day by day. In the mean time it has produced many men of letters who have established themselves by their own merit within and outsite the country. This institution contributed not only in nourishing merit and in many historical movements like anti-British Movement, Tong and Language Movement, Liberation War but also in the field of literature and sports. Late Sayed Nazrul Islam, the President-in-charge of independent Bangladesh was also a reputed teacher of this institution.
At present, about 18 thousand students are studying in Honours and Masters Course in 18 Department of this college. Recently H S C Course has been re-introduced in this college. About 175 skilled teachers are engaged in teaching this great number of students. More than 100 employees are also engaged here to run the academic activities smoothly. Professor Md. Safiuddin is discharging his duties as honourable Principal of this institution and Professor Rokeya Begum is holding the post of honourable Vice-Principal.
