The Babasaheb Naik College of Engineering, Pusad, is one of the best institutes in Vidharbha and Maharashtra State. The institute was established in July 1983 and named after Late Shri Babasaheb Naik, one of the most reverred sons of the soil and elder brother of Late Shri Vasantrao Naik, Ex. Chief Minister of Maharashtra
Over these years, the institute has gained recognition as an important engineering institute. According to a recent survey, this institute is now among the top five institutes. in the Maharashtra state. Apart from imparting quality professional education, the college has been extending available expertise to various semi-Govt andprivate organizations through its testing and consultancy services. The Babasaheb Naik College of Engineering has a beautiful campus of about 30 acres. Six hostels (Four boys and two girls) accomodate 1195 students, including 203 girl students. Also, limited residential accommodating for teaching staff of the college is available on the campus.

Applicants must have passed the HSC /10+2 examination of HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics securing minimum 50% marks. For students from backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra, minimum criterion of marks is 45% marks.
Diploma holders in Engineering / Technology must possess a minimum of 50% marks and medium of instruction should be English.

65% seats are filled through MHT-CET as per Director of technical education, Government of Maharashtra. 20% seats are filled through management while 15% seats are reserved for AIEEE candidates.
