the following are the rules for admission in this college
Rules for Admission in the College:

1.Admission in the College will be done as per A.U. rules and strictly on the basis of UGAT 2009.

2.The admission seeker should be present in person at the time of admission.

3.According to the merit cut off list published in the daily newspaper the students should appear before the admission committee along with the following original and one self attested copy of following documents:

a. Mark sheet of Intermediate or equivalent examination.

b. Transfer certificate (in original) by the principal (regular candidates) and affidavit by notary by private candidates.

c. Certificate for which weightage is claimed.

d. Special advantage certificate (applicable to NRI and candidates belonging to North east states of India).

e. Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC).

f. Bank draft/ bankers cheque favouring “Principal, CMP College, Allahabad”. Note: Please write Name of Candidate, Father’s name, and Roll no of the UGAT, 2009 at the back side of the bank draft.

4. In case of two students getting equal marks in admission test, the preference will given to the candidate having higher marks in intermediate/High School examination.

5. Candidates failing to present themselves along with the documents on their scheduled date will not be considered.

6. If any discrepancy is found, the admission may be cancelled at any stage. No refund of Fee shall be done in such cases.

Chaudhary Mahadeo Prasad College, popularly known as CMP College, was established in the year 1950. It was made a constituent College in the year 2005 when the Central status of the University was restored. The main campus of the College is located in George Town on M.G. Road, housing the faculty of Science, Arts and Commerce. The Law faculty and the Girls Wing of the College are located on Kamla Nehru Road behind the Power House,Allahabad.

Courses Offerred
The College has FOUR faculties:

Science Faculty :

Three year degree course of Bachelor of Science, (B.Sc.). The subjects are offered in two groups:

1.Mathematics Group: Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics

2.Biology Group: Botany, Zoology & Chemistry

Number of seats in B.Sc. First year for Maths group is 225 and 335 in Biology group plus 27% for OBC in both.

Arts Faculty:

Three year degree course of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), which has 1870 seats plus 27% for OBC in first year. There are 14 subjects in B.A. viz; Hindi, Sanskrit, English Literature, Urdu, Ancient History, Medieval History, Sociology, Philosophy, Education, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Psychology, Music (Vocal and Instrumental). (Note: Music and Psychology are only available for girls only.)

Commerce Faculty:

Three year degree course of Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.). Total number of seats in B.Com first year is 350 plus 27% for OBC. All subjects are compulsory for B.Com first year students.

Law Faculty: Three year degree course of Bachelor of Law (LL.B.). Total number of seats in LL.B. first year is 320.
