CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
*
Candidates passing Higher Secondary or equivalent examination (10+2) in 2009 as a regular student under West Bengal Higher Secondary Council/Central Board of Secondary Education/Indian School Certificate Examination or from any other recognized Board/Council are eligible to apply for B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. courses and would be evaluated on the basis of marks obtained in best of five (05) subjects, each of 100 marks, including one (01) vernacular subject (Bengali or English) and three conventional subjects. Candidates who have passed from National Open School/Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya are also eligible and will be evaluated as in the case of W.B.H.S.C. Candidates who passed similar examination in 2008 or 2007 may also apply with a declaration of his/her status during the last one year. In such cases 5% and 10% marks respectively will be deducted from the aggregate while formulating their merit list.

Candidate can apply for a maximum of three (03) honours subjects or two (02) honours subjects and one (01) or two (02) general courses. A candidate wishing to seek admission in different honours courses has to apply in separate admission forms.
