From an affiliated college, started in 1968 as Dharmsinh Desai Institute of Technology (DDIT), offering Degree and Diploma in Chemical Engineering, DDU has now become a trusted name amongst a variety of stake holders, namely, students, their parents, researchers, academicians, employers, other academic institutions offering higher level education, National level Institutions and State & Central Government agencies. The key milestones it has crossed in the past 40 plus years of its existence are addition of Degree courses in Civil Engineering (1981), Electronics and Communication Engineering (1981), Computer Engineering (1985), Instrumentation & Control Engineering (1985), and Information Technology (1999). Further it also added undergraduate programmes in Commerce (B.Com in 1980 under Dharmsinh Desai Institute of Commerce), Computer (BCA, 1999), Management (BBA, 1999), Dental Sciences (2005), and Pharmacy (2006). Admission Process For Dharamsingh Desai Institute Of Technology : Engineering Admission Gujarat
Duration Of Course : 4 years
Seat Count : 480
Entrance : GUJCET
Master of Engineering (M. Tech)
Admissions to M. Tech courses are based on merit obtained in the written examination conducted by the Institute. Application for admission is invited through advertisements in leading newspapers in May/June every year. B.E/B.Tech /equivalent with 55% (50% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade in appropriate/respective branch. Seats are also available for sponsored candidates from Industry/academic and research Institutes.
Diploma in Chemical Engineering: Admission to Diploma programme in chemical Engineering is based on SSC examination score and is governed centrally for all engineering/polytechnic institutes of the state. The details of admission rules and procedure along with application form are usually available immediately after SSCE result. All the seats are available in grant-in aid category
Bachelor of Engineering (B. Tech)
Admission to B.Tech programmes is based on Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (HSCE-Science stream) score and is governed centrally for all engineering institutes of the state. Eligibility conditions are as per Government of Gujarat rules. The details of admission rules and procedure along with application form are usually available immediately after HSCE result. Certain seats for admission to first year of U.G. are earmarked for Government of India nominees. Seats are available in grant-in aid as well as self-finance category.
Master of Engineering (M. Tech)
