Admission to B.Tech (For three tear Diploma Holders) is based on the merit secured in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) conducted by the A.P. State Council for Higher Education. The diploma holders successful in ECET are also eligible for admission into regular B.Tech. courses, at Second Year level.
JNTU conducts an entrance examination of B.Tech. (Correspondence-cum-Contact Course) for admitting employed Diploma Holders of Engineering.The exam is held in months of april or may. The forms for it are not yet announced. Keep visiting the website for the latest update about the forms.

Lateral entry in any of the engineering colleges is only for those who have completed their three year diploma course in the relevant subject. It is not for those who are pursuing B.Tech and want to change the college.
If you have completed three year diploma course in any relevant subject, then you can apply for lateral entry in colleges of Andhra Pradesh. For that you have to write the state level entrance exam called ECET and depending on the rank obtained and your preferences, you would be alloted the college.
im doing my btech1st yr from jiit institute noida if i wish to apply for lateral entry in any of the colleges in hyderabad am i eligible for it and if yes whats the procedure .i am domicile of andhra pradesh only

The admission in any good engineering college in Hyderabad is made through a common state engineering exam of Andhra Pradesh called EAMCET. To get into a top college of Hyderabad, you have to secure a good rank in EAMCET.
The rank in EAMCET is decided by two factors:
1. 75% weight-age is given to the marks obtained in EAMCET exam
2. 25% weight-age is given to the marks obtained in your +2 examination.
Then combining the marks as as stated about, the final rank is decided.
