Future Institute of Engineering and Management Kolkata (FIEM) was established in 2001 by a core group of academicians and professionals in the fields of Engineering and Management with the objective of developing an integrated centre for:

a) Education
b) Training
c) Research
d) Consultancy

with academic and technical quality as the basic driver.

An exciting academic environment has been created at the Institute to motivate students, empower them with the courage of knowledge and skill, and inspire them to take decisions and create value. The width and the depth of the syllabi and the practical insights gained by students in the laboratories and through case-studies, are complemented by an academia-industry interface at every conceivable step.

The Institute aims at creating highly trained technical manpower in different disciplines of Engineering and Technology and professional managers in the fields of General Management and Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Systems.

Both Future Institute of Engineering & Management (FIEM) and its component Future Business School (FBS) are managed by Future Education and Research Trust and have a common Board of Governors and an Academic Counsil. Besides they have their respective Boards of Advisors.
