@aparna - Age limit :: 25 years. Students who have appeared for 10th standard or have passed 10 standard can apply for other short courses. Age limit :: 28 years. Students who have passed Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University are eligible for Post Graduate or Master Degree courses, students appeared for their Final Graduation Examination can also apply.

GITAM Institute of Management (GIM) started in 1988 as College of Management Studies offering Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes in Management of Andhra University. Soon after AICTE approval in 1994, a Post Graduate Programe in Human Resource Management was started in 1996. The erstwhile GITAM Institute of Foreign Trade was started in 1997 in academic collaboration with IIFT New Delhi offering Post Graduate Programme in International Business. NAAC accreditation with Grade A was accorded in 2005 to the Institute was recognized as a research centre by the Andhra University in the same year. Two new programmes BBA (Hons.) and PG Diploma in Risk and Insurance Management (Part time) were also launched in 2006.

Soon after the formation of GITAM University in August 2007, the two year programme MBA-(IB) was offered by the Institute from 2008 discontinuing the PGDM (IB) programme offered earlier. The Institute now offeres Ph.D (full / part time) and a 5 year integrated MBA under the GITAM University.

Two new programmes MBA (International Banking and Finance) and MBA (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) are also being offered from academic year 2009-10 as approved by GITAM University.
