Provisions of reservations as per the directives of Govt. of M.P.

1. 15 % for SC and 18% for ST. These reservations are mutually transferable.
2. 14% for OBC. (excluding the creamy layer)
3. 3% for children and grand children of freedom fighters and physically disabled. The physically disabled candidates shall get 10 % weightage of marks obtained while preparing joint merit list.
4. If a candidate secures the place in general category in open competition by virtue of marks obtained, the seats of reserved category shall remain unaffected.
5. If the percentage of reserved seats is more than 1/2 out of them it will not be taken into account.
6. If requisite number of applicant is not available for reserved category such seats shall be considered as unreserved.
7. Directives issued by the Govt. of M.P. from time to time shall be binding.

The Govt. Kamla Raja Girls P.G. Autonomous College , Gwalior, M.P. volunteered to be assessed by National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC ) , Bangalore in July 2002. NAAC constituted the Peer Team comprising of Prof. Ashok Pradhan , Former Vice Chancellor , YCMOU , as Chairman and Rev.Fr.Francis Parmar , Principal, St.Xavier's College , Ahmedabad and Prof.S.R.K.Pillai, Principal, Sree Narayana Guru College, Coimbatore as members. The Peer Team visited the institute from 7-9, October 2002. The college is housed in one of the erstwhile palaces of Scindia Dynasty and has lush green surroundings. The college is unique with a mix of old and new architecture spread over a vast campus of 13.27 acres Founded in 1937 the college was elevated to post graduate level in 1970 and autonomy was conferred in 1995. Up on review the autonomy status has been extended up to 2007. It has been receiving grants from the UGC since the 6th five year plan and over years has established and expanded its activities conducting 52 different programs at certificate, UG, PG, MPhil and PhD levels in the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce and Home Science.

There are 108 Permanent Teachers catering to around 6000 students enrolled with the institution. Out of the 108 faculty 74 are Ph.D. holders. Except for one course where the semester system is followed the other courses have an annual system.
