The Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, popularly known as IIITM Gwalior or IIITM-G , is a deemed university, which is the first IIIT established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 1997, as an initiative to foster information technology (IT) and management education in India. IIITM Gwalior is the foremost institution providing technical and managerial education in the areas of IT and management in India. Previous batches have also been selected through IIT-JEE and All India Examinations conducted by the Institute.
The students appearing in AIEEE must have either completed their XII Standard or must be appearing in XII Standard, through a recognized board. Students qualifying the AIEEE exam are assigned an All India Rank (AIR). Admission to the college will be based on this AIR that a student gets. There is no state wise quota for admission to ABV-IIITM.

The admission to these seats is done through the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) conducted by CBSE every year.
