The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H) is an autonomous university founded in 1998. It was set up as a not-for-profit public private partnership (NPPP) and is the first IIIT to be set up (under this model) in India. The Government of Andhra Pradesh lent support to the institute by grant of land and buildings. A Governing Council consisting of eminent people from academia, industry and government presides over the governance of the institution.
IIIT-H was set up as a research university focused on the core areas of Information Technology, such as Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and their applications in other domains. The institute evolved strong research programmes in a host of areas, with computation or IT providing the connecting thread, and with an emphasis on the development of technology and applications, which can be transferred for use to industry and society. This required carrying out basic research that can be used to solve real life problems. As a result, a synergistic relationship has come to exist at the Institute between basic and applied research. Faculty carries out a number of academic industrial projects, and a few companies have been incubated based on the research done at the Institute.

Mode of admission:
The written test will be conducted. Applicants will be shortlisted for written test, and then for interview based on written examination performance for final selection. The institute is not obliged to fill up all the seats if it does not find enough quality students.

Available Courses
PGSSP students are free to register for any course in the institute for which they satisfy the prerequisites. The recommended way is to contact the course instructor at the time of registration or before to know the expectations and workload of the course involved. Admission Procedure
To apply for PGSSP admissions, you must use the following portal click here. All notifications regarding the selection, interview etc will be made over email only.
Fees
An application fee of Rs. 800/- is to be paid at the time of registration.
PGSSP students must pay the student status fees, currently equal to Rs 12,500/-, to maintain the Post-Graduate Status in each semester. Each course the student registers for will be charged as per the pro-rata rates of the institute. The current pro-rata tuition fee is Rs. 3125/- per credit with a maximum of Rs 12,500/- per course. PGSSP students will have access to the institute's library and other academic resources as long as he or she is registered for at least one course.

This year B.Tech admissions to IIIT, Hyderabad will be through this portal and not through CCB counselling.
- Only the AIEEE ranks will be used for all regular admissions.
Phase-I Procedure
Normal registration for Phase I is already over. (See below for penality registration. )
Phase-II Procedure
In Phase II, those candidates who registered in Phase I have to enter AIEEE rank and their choice of programme.

Penalty Registration
Penalty registration is available for those who might have missed registering in Phase I.
This is the first time the institute is conducting its own counselling and is not participating in CCB counselling. Therefore, there may be students who do not know this and thus miss participating in the admission process at the institute. Penalty registration will be available for the candidates who are extremely keen in joining the institute after the first round allotment.
The application fee for the penalty registration is Rs. 3,000/- (three thousand).
The penalty registration period is from 18 June 2010 to 30 June 2010 (both days included).

Commencement of the Academic Programme
The academic programme commences on 31 July 2010. Candidates who have accepted the allotment to the institute by paying the initial fee must report at the institute on 31 July 2010 for admission to the programme, registration to courses, and payment of the first semester fees and hostel and other fees. There is no management quota seats for B.Tech in IIIt, hyderabad.
The admission in IIIT, hyderabad is made only through rank obtained in AIEEE exam. The admission is not made through EAMCET.
you cannot get admission to IIIT, hyderabad with such high rank in AIEEE. There is no BC-B quota in IIIT, hyderabad.
