The Department of Management Studies was established in 1999, after the course was introduced by University of Mumbai and Jai Hind College was one of the first colleges in Mumbai to have started this course. The first batch passed out in 2002 and so far, the results have never been below 98%. The syllabus of the BMS course has been revised from the academic year 2008-09 and a lot of contemporary subjects like Retail, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Management Information Systems and Operations Research.
Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.)
Duration of course : 6 Semesters spread over 3 years.The Course shall consist of 40 Modules comprising 39 Theory papers and 2 projects The Scheme of Modules is as under :
The maximum number of students at the F.Y, S.Y. & T.Y.B.M.S. will be 60 at each Semester.
Eligibility
A Candidate for being eligible for admission to the Degree Course in Management studies shall have passed XII Std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt.
Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent /affliated college /recognised institution conducting the course, shall have to register himself /herself with the University.
