1 Eligibility for Admissions and Other Related Rules 1.1 Minimum Percentage for Admissions and Eligibility for Appearing in Entrance Test - 1.1.1 Minimum percentage and admission criteria for admission to courses being offered by the University are mentioned in the respective departmental profiles of this admission brochure. Almost in all the courses the minimum eligibility criteria is 50% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination. A relaxation of 5% in the eligibility criteria shall be admissible to the bonafide SC/ST/OBC applicants of Madhya Pradesh only. A relaxation of 5% in eligibility will also be applicable to Physically Challenged (Nishaktjan) as defined by M.P. Government.
1.1.2 If some seats remain vacant in non-entrance test based courses, candidates who have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination can be given admission. But in such cases, no candidate (whatever category he/she belongs to) who has secured below 45%, will not be admitted.
1.1.3 The candidates awaiting their results of qualifying examination can also apply for admission but their final admission to the course shall be directed by point nos 6.1.4.7 and 6.2.3.4.
1.1.4 Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from universities other than Jiwaji University are required to submit 'Eligibility Certificate' issued by the Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
1.1.5 Fresh admission will be given only in first semester / first year of the course.

I have submitted my registration form for P.hd. in 12 MARCH 2010.
I haven't attached my NET certificate with the registration form.
Now I have qualify the NET exam after that I also compulsory to attempt the entrance exam of P.hd.

Normally candidate should have secured 55% marks in Postgraduate degree (50% for SC/ST) to be eligible to join Ph.D. The candidate has to apply initially for provisional registration, selecting a proposed topic for research, under guidance of approved guide of university. The for provisional Ph. D. registration has to be forwarded from a research center. After six months of submission of forms, candidate has to submit detailed research proposal on prescribed format. Afterward he will be called in RDC (Research Degree Committee) meeting. Candidate will be registered for Ph.D. as research scholar only after his topic and synopsis is approved by RDC. After registration the thesis has to be submitted by candidate in minimum two years and maximum four years from the date of registration.

i have qualified SLET2004 and i have submitted my registration form for phd in february 2010.no RDC till now.will i have to face the entrance exam scheduled to be held on 3rd april this year?but in notification it is written that SLET/NET are exempted.

How to Apply:
Application form can be collected from the University's Sales Counters by depositing Rs. 400/- in cash/DD. To obtain a Prospectus by post request may be sentto the Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior 474011 along with a Demand Draft (DDJ/IPO for Rs. 450/- in favour of Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
Those who download the application forms from the website should submit the completed form alongwith the crossed a/c payee demand draft of Rs. 450/- payable at Gwalior in favour of Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior. They can collect Prospectus along with roll numbers one day before the entrance test from the Control Room. For each course a separate application form has to be submitted and with each application form an additional application fee of Rs. 100/- has to be deposited (Demand Draft in Favour of Registrar, Jiwaji University, Gwalior). Each Information Bulletin has six applications forms (one specifically for physical education courses), which are non-transferable.
