QUALIFIYING EXAMINATION AND ELIGIBILITY

A candidate will be eligible for admission to Engineering Courses for the year 2010-11 on fulfillment of following conditions:

1. At First year Engineering (F. E.) level
1.1 The candidate must be an Indian National
1.2 A candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/Std. XII) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination of a Council or Board like ICSC, CBSC from a recognized Institution located in the State of Maharashtra with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). AND Ranking obtained in MHT-CET-2010 for Engineering / Technology Degree Courses conducted by the Competent Authority notified by DTE, Mumbai.
1.3 The candidate must have obtained not less than 50% (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) taken together at the HSC or equivalent examination at one and the same sitting.
1.4 No rounding off, of the marks secured by the candidate will be done in individual subject or final total, while converting marks of the individual subject out of 100 or total marks of 300. For example, if total of the marks in three subjects comes to 149 out of 300, percentage comes out 49.66 that will not qualify for admission.
Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) Candidates:

These candidates must fulfill all conditions as mentioned from 1.1 to 1.4 above except that they have passed HSC or equivalent examination from an institute situated outside the state of Maharashtra but within India. These candidates can apply only in the category of Institute Level Seats only for F. E.
