i) English as one of the subjects
ii) All the subjects mentioned under Group-I and
iii) Any one of the subjects from Group-II
Group-I: (All subjects from this group are compulsory)

Secured minimum 50% marks (45% for backward class candidates from Maharashtra) in Physics, Mathematics and the subject of maximum marks amongst the four subjects of group-II, added together.
DIRECT ADMISSION TO SECOND YEAR
The candidate should have passed in first class with English medium, diploma course in Engineering / Technology of the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) or autonomous institution to which autonomy has been granted by the State of Maharashtra or diploma recognized as equivalent to the diploma awarded by MSBTE for seeking direct admission to second year B.E. (3 rd semester) in corresponding degree courses as approved By the MSBTE.

Action against ragging: Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999, which is in effect from 15th May 1999, has the following provisions for Action against Ragging.
Ragging within or outside of any educational institution is prohibited. Whosoever directly or indirectly commits, participates in, abets. Or propagates ragging within or outside any educational institution shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term up to 2 years and/or penalty which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
