@bibha kumari yadaw- Dehra Dun, Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Nainital, Srinagar (Garhwal) and Varanasi. Candidates are required to obtain 50% (35% for SC/ST) marks in Sc subjects and 35% marks in Hindi to qualify the test. In case of tie, marks obtained in Chem decide the merit. Where the marks in the Chem paper are equal, marks in the Zool paper decide inter-se ranking. Merit list is notified in local newspapers.

The questions are of objective type and the standard is of Intermediate. There is an additional paper of Hindi carrying 150 marks. @jawahar - Admissions are made through U.P. State Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) conducted by Director Medical Education & Training, UP for 85% of the seats and the All India Medical Entrance Examination (CBSE PMT), New Delhi for the remaining 15% seats. Reservation of seats for scheduled castes/tribes and Other Backward Classes are made according to state government guidelines.

Eligibility:

Undergraduate:
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS):
Candidate must pass Higher Secondary (10+2 level) or equivalent examination from a recognized board preferably with the science subjects.

Post Graduate Diploma:
Post Graduate Medical Diploma:
Candidate must have a MBBS degree along with one year internship form a recognized university.

Post Graduate:
Post Graduate Medical Degree / Superspecialty:
Candidate must have a MBBS degree with one year internship form a recognized university. Candidate with BDS degree from a recognized university are considered eligible for admission into MDS programme. For supersepecislity courses candidate must have a MBBS degree with one year internship form a recognized university or Medical Council of India (MCI) recognition.

King George's Medical College (KGMC), Lucknow, is one of the pioneer medical colleges of India. The college was opened in October 1911, when His Majesty King George V and Queen Mary visited India. Initially, King George's Medical College was affiliated to the Allahabad University. In 1921, King George's Medical College and associated King George's Hospital were formally transferred under the Lucknow University.

By an act passed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh on September 16, 2002, the college was transferred under a new university, called the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University. However, in the year the name of the institute was changed to Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University. The institution is entrusted with the task of disseminating advance knowledge in biomedical sciences and establishing itself as a centre of excellence in tertiary level health care in the state.
