All the 4 IIMs - Ahmadabad, Calcutta, Indore and Kozhikode, the cut off percentile requirement is very high and it is around 99.3 and above. More over the candidates must have a minimum percentile of 95.6 and above, in each individual section which include Data interpretation, Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability. The cut off is set very high and the selection process is vigorous only because in IIM-A alone the number of candidates selected ever year is 557 from all over India.
I can tell u that there is no %ile which can be called as a 'sure shot IIM' %ile , or a sure reject...i personally know sub 97 %iles in A,B and C and 99.5+ with A,B and C rejects....
First aim should be to get the calls..and for that u need to score equally well in all 3 sections, get a decent overall %ile and then hope that the institutes call u....and nobody can guarantee that x %ile will get a call and y % ile will not...BUT, generally a 99+ %ile with a decent split and a good profile will be sufficient... once u get the calls,forget abt ur past record because u cannot do anything abt it...try ur best and eventually u may get into the B school of ur choice...
