the general criteria -

Eligilibility:

* A student should have passed Std. XII i.e. the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the Mumbai Board and the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, Pune, Aurangabad or Nagpur Divisional Boards.
* A student who has passed an examination of another University or Board of Secondary or Higher Secondary Education of another state is also eligible for admission, provided he produces an Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai. Students coming from other states should also note that their applications for admission to F.Y.B.Com. /B.A. class shall not be entertained unless such applications are duly accompanied by a Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by the University of Mumbai. Such students may not be permitted to appear for the F.Y.B.Com. /B.A. Examination and their provisional admission to that Class is likely to be cancelled unless their eligibility is confirmed by University of Mumbai.
* A student is advised to apply for admission only if the percentage of marks secured by him/her at the H.S.C. Examination or an equivalent qualifying examination happens to be equal to, or higher than, the percentage of marks prescribed by the College as the minimum percentage of marks necessary for admission.
