JAM (Joint Admission Test to M.Sc) for admission to M.Sc programmes at the IITs. From year 2005 admissions to MCA programme at IIT Roorkee are also made through JAM which were previously through AIMCET. More info at JAM website

B.TECH. FIRST YEAR OF FOUR YEARS FULL TIME DEGREE COURSE
i) The candidate must have passed Intermediate Examination ( with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Computers) of Uttarakhand Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent.
ii) Merit in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2009) B.TECH. SECOND YEAR OF FOUR YEARS FULL TIME DEGREE COURSE i) The candidate must have passed Polytechnic Diploma Course recognized by Board of Technical Education Uttarakhand with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates with B.Sc. (PCM Group) are also eligible in this category. ii) Merit of UTUEE-2009 being conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University.

(i) Three years Degree course with Mathematics at 10+2 Level.

MASTER OF BUSSINESS ADMINSTRATION (MBA)

1. Original Copy of AIEEE-2009/ UTUEE -2009 Rank and admit card
2. High school marks sheet and certificate duly self attested.
3. Intermediate marks sheet duly attested by a self and original for verification.
4. Character Certificate from the Principal of the college last attended
5. Four Passport size photographs
6. Medical Certificate from CMO which should also indicate blood group
7. Transfer/Migration certificate ( to be submitted at the time of admission).

admissionAdmission to the Ist year B. Tech. shall be done through the counselling which is conducted by the Utarakhand Technical University on the basis of AIEEE rankings.
Admission to the IInd year B. Tech. ( IIIrd semester) through lateral entry from Diploma / B.Sc. streams, shall be done through Counselling to be conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the basis of merit obtained in the Uttarakhand Technical University Entrance Examination ( UTUEE).
Admission to the Ist year of Master of Computer Application (MCA) shall be done through Counselling to be conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the basis of merit obtained in the Uttarakhand Technical University Entrance Examination (UTUEE).
Admission to Ist year of Master of Business Administration (MBA) will however be processed through Management Aptitutde Test (MAT) organized by All India Management Association New-Delhi. Those who have CAT score will also be eligible for admission. A Psychometric test may also be held at the time of counselling.
The Uttarakhand quota is 50% of the seats and All India quota is 35% of the approved intake. 15% seats are in the Management quota. Admission against the Management Quota seats, in each programme will be done in the Institute directly on the basis of merit drawn amongst those who get themselves registered with the Institute. The application form can be down loaded from the Institute’s website and submitted to the Institute duly completed.
Interested candidates are advised to get themselves registered with the Institute at the earliest. The eligibility criterion for each programme is given below. Those appearing in the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply but they will have to complete the eligibility requirement before the admission time.
