He must have passed the 12th Science examination conducted by H.S.C. Examination Board of Government of Maharashtra or an examination recognized as equivalent there to.
The fee structure of B.Sc in Forensic science is generally 6000 to 30000 per year. The fee of the course varies from college to college. Institutes and universities like Indian Institute of Forensic Science, Amity University, Lovely University, LNJN National Institute of Criminology and many more are few big names that offer this course. IIFS offers this course with fees of 6060 in first year, 4640 in second year and 5140 in third year for this 3 year course.
Government colleges charges less fees than the private colleges. Government colleges also offer special relaxation in fees to the backward and lower caste students.
For doing Bachelors in Forensic Science a candidate should have had Science in 10+2. For doing post graduation in forensic science one must have done BSc. or a degree in science. To be eligible to do Post Martems one must be qualified as an MBBS followed by MD in Forensic Science. There are also research programs available in Forensic Science. To become a forensic scientist a candidate should have an inquisitive mind, eye for detail, accuracy, patience, observation, intelligence and logical and methodical approach. Remunerations offered in the field of Forensic science are based on Government pay scales but are genrally good.
