Shri Ramdeobaba Kamla Nehru Engineering College, Nagpur is an engineering college in the Central India reigon giving both Bachelor and Master degrees from RTMNU(Nagpur University). The college was founded by Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti, headed by Shri Banwari Lal Purohit (Ex Member of Parliament), in 1984. Since then the college has grown to providing 9 Bachelor degree programmes in Engineering along with post graduate degrees, affiliated to RTM Nagpur University. The college was ranked amongst top 100 engineering colleges of the country by OUTLOOK in 2006 and amongst top 50 Private Engineering colleges.The college was also named in Top 75 engineering college in India and Top 30 Private engineering colleges of India in the OUTLOOK magazine in 2009 the of India. It is ISO 9001:2008 certified organisation. It is also recognised as a Place of work for higher learning and Research for the degrees of ME (By Research) and PhD. It has been allotted the new branch of Mechanical Engg from 2009.

The admission criteria is based on the Maharashtra CET and AIEEE rankings. The percentage in 12th boards only signifies that you are eligible to write the entrance test, but it does not guarantee admission in the college.
For admission, you have to either clear MH-CET or AIEEE with good rank.

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics AND Secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together AND Obtained a non zero score in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together at MHT-CET 2010 OR Candidate should have a valid AIEEE Score (i.e. total score should be positive) for the year 2010-11.
