ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION :
An applicant must posses at least a Degree (Graduate or Post Graduate) in Arts or Science , from any recognized India or Foreign University. There is no age restriction for deputed teachers . an Intending fresher candidate must not be more than 35 years of age.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
Admission to this college is made through selection by the Central Selection Committee at the University level.
Procedure of selection :
The University of Burdwan advertises centrally through leading daily news papers, normally in the month of March every year. The application form along with instructions is available from the College Sales Counter against prescribed cost of the application form. The duly filled in application form has to be submitted at the same counter as per schedule.
A. Deputed teachers will be selected for admission strictly in terms of their requisite qualifications, Experience â€“ Seniority, and proper Approval of their Posts.

This is a Government Sponsored Co-o-educational Teachers' Training College- Established in 1964 vide G O No. 2318-Edn.(G) dated 6/10.7.1964. The college is affiliated to the University of Burdwan. The college registered with the University Grants Commision u/s 2f. The Institution tends to provide Teacher Education to regular students(trainees)- both Deputed Teachers and Fresher Candidates- leading to B.Ed. Degree from Burdwan University, West Bengal. This college has credited â€œRecognitionâ€ from the National Council for Teacher Education vide No.. ERC/7-37 (ER-37.6.1)/2003/1553(1) Dated August 11,2003 for B.Ed.course. The present intake capacity of the college is 100(one hundred) only.
