SSGMCE is amongst the most competitive colleges when it comes the admissions. Admissions are usually held in the months of June-July for graduation and under-graduation courses.

Admissions to SSGMCE are strictly based on merit only. Undergraduate admissions are currently based on scores in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.

Postgraduate Admissions :

Postgraduate admissions are held on the basis of score obtained in the General Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination and Entrance Examination . The (GATE) is an All-India Examination conducted by the Seven IITs and IISC, Bangalore, on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
