Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, a self financing institute established in the year 1977.The institution is ideally located in a vast expanse of 40 acres of land on the out skirts of Vijayawada city at a distance of about 6 Kms from the city centre. The departmental buildings are located in close proximity of each other with wide open spaces all around. The teaching staff, totaling 180 at present, comprises well qualified professionals with varied experience and back-ground. The faculty members take interest in continuing education and are actively engaged in research work and publish their findings regularly in standard national and international journals. Some of the faculty members received awards for their publications. Equipment-wise staff-wise, this institution is outstanding as opined by various Inspection Committees including an Expert Committee of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The National board of Accreditation awarded Accreditation grades for a period of 3 years, in respect of Mechanical Engineering, civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering. The college was granted Autonomous Status by UGC. The Institution of Engineers ( India ) recognized the courses offered by the college exempting the graduates of the college from Sec A and B of the Institution of Engineers.
