Seats Available:
Total number of seats available is seventy five (75) each in Personnel Management and Rural Development and sixty (60) each in Information Management, Finance and Marketing Management programs. Out of the above fifty percent seats are reserved for SC/ST and Christian candidates.
Eligibility for Admission:
Minimum qualification for admission to the two years full-time post-graduate management programs at the Institute is three years bachelors degree in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. However preference will be given to Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Management and Computer Science graduates and candidates with relevant work experience.
Candidates appearing for their final year or final semester of their graduate degree examination in academic year 2010- 11 are also eligible to appear for the admission process. Such candidates, if called for interview, should submit the copy of admit card or a letter from the principal of the college where they are studying to that effect.
Admission Procedure:
Three stage admission process is followed by the Institute as per the guidelines of AICTE. These stages are:

Group Discussion
Personal Interview
A candidate desirous of seeking admission in the Institute will have to appear in an all India level management admission test organized by XLRI Jamshedpur (XAT 2011) on January 2nd 2011. For admission to batches 2011-13, scores of only XAT 2011 will be accepted.
Candidates will have to apply online for appearing in XAT 2011 by visiting www.xlri.net.in and will have to select XISS as affiliated institute.
Based on XAT 2011 scores, candidates who have applied for admission at the institute will be shortlisted and will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview to be held at the institute premises in the month of February/ March 2011.

You are selected for admission at XISS for the batch 2010-2012. The admission of the selected candidates at XISS will begin from 05.05.2010 and it will go up to 12.05.2010. Selected candidates are asked to bring all the original documents such as XAT Score Card, X, XII, Graduation, Post-graduation, Caste Certificate (for SC/ST), Baptism Certificate (for Christians) and Six Passport size photographs and the Demand Draft of Rs. 38800/- for General candidates and Rs. 33300/- for SC/ST candidates in favour of “Xavier Institute of Social Service†payable at Ranchi. Selected candidates must take admission within the stipulated time. afterwards your candidature will be cancelled.
