Avinashilingam University for Women, Coimbatore announces Avinashilingam Engineering Entrance Examination 2010 for selecting candidates for the following BE programmes

1. Bio-medical Instrumentation Engineering
2. Computer Science and Engineering
3. Civil Engineering
4. Electrical and Electronics Engineering
5. Electronics and Communication Engineering
6. Food Processing and Preservation Technology
7. Information Technology
8. Printing Technology

To secure admission the applicants should appear for a separate Entrance Test conducted by Avinashilingam University / State Level Entrance Examination (CEE) / All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE).

Eligibility:

Candidates should have passed in Higher Secondary Examination (Academic / Vocational Stream) and obtained a minimum aggregate percentage of marks as indicated below for Maths, Physics and Chemistry
55% for General (OC)
50% for BC/MBC/ and Others
A Pass for SC/ST

Age limit

Only candidate whose date of birth falls on or after July, 01, 1988 are eligible.
For SC/ST and Physically handicapped candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.

How to Apply?

Application Forms and Prospectus will be available at the University Office, on payment of Rs.600/- by cash (for SC/ST students Rs.300/- by cash)

Through Post by sending a request to the Register along with a DD for Rs.650/- (for SC/ST students Rs.350/-) payable at Coimbatore in favour of “The Registrar, Avinashilingam University for Women”

Application forms can be downloaded from http://www.auengg.com and www.avinuty.ac.in

Downloaded application forms must be sent with a DD for Rs.650/- (General Category) (Rs.350/-SC/ST) drawn in favour of "The Registrar, Avinashilingam University for women" payable at Coimbatore.

Submission of Application
The application form should be duly filled by the candidate and with the following enclosures should reach the "The Registrar, Avinashilingam University for women, Coimbatore - 641 043".
1. Proof for Date of Birth
2. Recently taken passport size photographs - 3 numbers
3. Xerox copies of the following
• Community certificate
• Transfer certificate and conduct certificate from the institution last studied
• 10 th mark sheet
