Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra is conducting Centralized Online Counselling for admission to B.Ed. (Regular) Course for the State of Haryana. No. of seats to be filled up are around 60,000 in about 460 Colleges of Education located in the State of Haryana.
Eligibility: Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor Degree and /or in the Master's Degree of Kurukshetra University, Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak, C.D.L.U,Sirsa and Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishav Vidayalaya or any other Qualification recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.
(i) 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
(ii) 45% marks for Blind /Physically Handicapped and Visually Impaired candidates.
Availability of Prospectus
Ø By Cash: Prospectus (Code No. B.Ed.-2010) containing OMR Application Form will be available from the Sale Counters of K. U. Kurukshetra (Manager, Printing and Publications) the prospectus will also be available in all the Main Post Offices located at the Headquarters of all the Districts and Sub-Divisons and all the branches of Axis Bank in Haryana.
Ø The Cost of Prospectus at Kurukshetra University Sale Counter for General Category Candidates is Rs. 500/- and Rs 125/- for SC/BC/Blind candidates of Haryana
Ø The Cost of Prospectus at Post Offices and Branches of Axis Bank for General Category Candidates is Rs. 520/- and Rs 145/- for SC/BC/Blind candidates of Haryana
Ø By. Regd. Post: The Prospectus (Code No. B.Ed.-2010) can also be obtained from the Manager, Printing & Publication, Kurukshetra University , Kurukshetra – 136119 (Haryana) by remitting a sum of Rs. 550/- (Rs. 175/- for SC/BC candidates of Haryana) by sending crossed Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra payable at Kurukshetra / Thanesar, if required by Registered Post while sending request, mention Prospectus Code No
Division Of Seats
50% of the total seats in each college shall be reserved for Group-I i.e. Science & Arts with Maths-group candidates. Other 50% seats shall be reserved for Group-II i.e. Arts & Commerce Group Candidates.
Ø The seats which remain vacant in Group-I i.e. Science & Arts with Maths-group can be converted in Group-II i.e. Arts & Commerce Group and vice-versa. Such vacant seats of one group will be converted into same category (General or Reserved) of the other group and if still these seats remain vacant only then these will be converted into General Category. The vacant seats of SC Categories in Govt./Govt. aided/ Maintained Colleges of Education will not be converted in to General Category.
Ø In case of Tau Devi Lal Memorial College of Education, Manana (Panipat) out of total students 5% students shall be given admission with the consent of the Gram Panchayat. (reference letter by Financial Commissioner and Secretary to Government Haryana, Development and Panchayat Department: Endst No G-I- 2001/ 24132 136 dated 5.6.2001)
Distribution And Reservation Of Seats
(A) Distribution of seats
The seats shall be distributed as under:
1) All India Category including Haryana : 15%
2) Bonafide Residents of Haryana : 85%
(B) Reservation of seats for Bonafide Residents of Haryana
The seats shall be reserved for the categories as under :
(i) Scheduled Castes : 20%
(ii) Backward Classes of Haryana : 27% (16 % for Block-A)
(iii) Physically Handicapped : 03%
(iv) 3% horizontal reservation will be given to Ex-servicemen/Freedom Fighters

2. Display of particulars of candidates(category wise) on the Website
3. Personal details and choice editing, if required
4. Mock Counselling
5. Change of Choices (last chance), if desired
6. Allotment of Colleges Stage - I
(Only for Science Group)
(a) Allotment of College
(b) Generation of College wise list of selected candidates of Science Category
(c) Deposition of token fee of Rs. 10,000/- in the Bank
(d) Either downloading of allotment letter by the candidates if satisfied with the allotment of college Or Opting for Auto-upgradation
(e) Verification of original documents at the allotted colleges
(f) Reporting of vacant seats by colleges on the website (admitted and vacant.
7. Allotment of Colleges only for Arts Group (including vacant Seats in Science Group) Stage – II
The steps followed in 6 (a to f) will be repeated.
8. Allotment of colleges for vacant seats of Haryana General Category, if any, will be Stage – III
The steps followed in 6 (a to f) will be repeated.
9. Similarly the step followed in 6(a to f) will be repeated for second counseling.

Duration of B.Ed Course: The duration of the course of the degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) shall be one year.
