Entrance Exam: For admission into B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) Course in the colleges affiliated to Vidyasagar University, an entrance test is conducted by Vidyasagar University
Eligibility: Candidated (both Fresher & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in Bachelor's Degree and/or in Master's degree and for SC/ST category 40% marks either in Bachelor's Degree (i,e. for Hons. Courses) and/or in master's Degree or 37.5% marks in Bachelor's Degree (i,e. for Genl. Courses) in Arts/Science/Commerce/Fine Arts/Music having two subjects at the degree level of the available method subjects ((1) Bengali (2) English (3) History (4) Economics (5) Sanskrit (6) Geography (7) Life Science (8) Physical Science (9) Mathematics (10) work Education) taught in the colleges are eligible. Fresher Candidates be within 35 years of age as on 01/07/2012 and Deputed teachers from W.B. Govt. aided institution having at least one year teaching experience as on 30.06.2012.
Eligibility Exception: Collegewise 22%, 6% & 3% seats are reserved for SC, ST & Physically Handicapped candidates respectively as per G.O., Minimum % of disability to be considered in PH
Category is 40%.
Age of the Fresher candidates as on 30th June, 2012, shall not exceed 35years.
Method Subjects :Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Hindi, L.Sc.(Zoo.,Bot.,Physio,Bio-technology, Nutrition, Microbiology & Env.Sc), P.Sc.(Ph.,Ch., Bio-chemistry & Electronics), Math. / Stat., Geography, History, Economics, Education, Com., Philosophy, Pol. -Science, Fine Arts, Music.
SELECTION OF PROCEDURE
Deputed Candidate :
(i) Deputed candidates will be selected on the basis of total length of approved service (Teaching experience) in Secondary School from the entry to the service as on 30.06.2012. The minimum length of Service is 1 year.
(ii) If the length service is same for more than one candidate, then academic grade marks will be checked for preparing their merit position.
Fresher Candidate :
The Selection of fresher candidate will be based on the total academic grade marks calculated as per their academic performance.
Calculation of Academic Grade Marks :
The Academic grade marks (Deputed / Fresher) will be calculated as per following rule:
(a) 10% of the percentage of aggregate marks obtained in M.P. or Equivalent Examinations.
(b) 10% of the percentage of aggregate marks obtained in H.S. or Equivalent Examinations.
(c) 15% of the percentage of aggregate marks obtained in Degree Pass Examination.
(d) 20% of the percentage of aggregate marks obtained in Degree Honours Examinations (in such cases the marks of pass examinations will not be considered).
(e) 20% of the percentage of aggregate marks obtained in Post Graduate Examination.
PUBLICATION OF MERIT LIST
The first provisional Merit list of candidates will be published at Vidyasagar University Campus. It will also be available in the website :http:// cc.vidyasagar.ac.in.
COUNSELLING AND ADMISSION
Counselling of candidate for admission to all NCTE approved B.Ed. Colleges will be held during May End, strictly according to the Merit List for counselling and Counselling Programme Schedule to be published on May second week. On the counselling date the candidate must be present 30 minutes before commencement of Counselling with all the original testimonials for verification by the authority. Counselling will begin with the reserved category. All other counselling details including rules & regulations will be notified along with counselling programmeschedule. Admission at Colleges will be held during first week June as per NCTE guidelines.
Duration of B.Ed Course: The duration of the course is one full academic year from July to June. The academic classes will strart from the 1st July, of every year.
