Entrance test:
A common entrance test designated as Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) of Andhra Pradesh is conducted for entry into the first year of the Government/Private colleges in Andra Pradesh.
Courses it offers:
• B.E/ B.Tech Courses
• B.V.Sc and AH/ B.Sc (Ag)/ B.Sc (Hort)/ B.F. Sc/ B.Tech (FS&T)/ B.Sc (CA&BM) Courses
• MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BNY • B.Pharm/B.Tech (Bio-Technology and PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) Courses
Eligibility Criteria:
Seats in each course in Un-Aided Professional Institutions are classified into Category A (80% of intake) and Category B (20% of intake)
Basic Qualification-
~ The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (10+2) or equivalent with not less than 60% of aggregate marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent to 6 on a scale of 10.
~ Diploma candidates are eligible to apply for B.E/ B. Tech course. A pass in the Diploma examination or appearance at 3rd year Diploma Examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of technical education and Training, A.P. or its equivalent thereto is needed to apply.
~ In case of students who appear for the entrance Test and whose qualifying examination result is pending, their entry shall be subject to their securing a pass in the said qualifying examination
Eligibility for Category A seats-
~ The candidate shall be an Indian National
~ The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic year for which the admissions are being conducted.
~ The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirement as laid down in the Andhra PradeshEducational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
Eligibility for Category B seats-
~ The candidate shall be an Indian National or a Non-Resident Indian.
~ The candidate should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of the Academic year forwhich the admissions are being conducted.
~ The left over seats are available to candidates from other states and Union Territories of India whohave passed the qualifying examination and secured rank in AIEEE.
~ Vacant seats if any may be filled with eligible candidates including those securing not less than 60% ofaggregate marks or 60% in Group subjects in the qualifying examination.
EXAM PATTERN:
~ The entrance test consists of multiple choice object type questions in Physics, Chemistry andMathematics for Engineering.
~ EAMCET Entrance Exam is in English and Telegu.
~ Students would be required to answer 160 questions in three hours 80 questions from Physical Sciences 80 from Mathematics .
~ The examination would be from 10.30 a.m. to 1 pm (liable to change)
~ The qualifying marks is reduced from 48 to 40.
~ Candidate’s name and photograph will be printed on the optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet to avoid impersonation.
~ Those submitting online need to scan their signature and photograph to be placed at the appropriate place. Candidates needing assistance for submission online could approach the regional co-ordinator's office.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Application form together with the enclosures including the “Instruction Booklet” can be had in person (not by post) on payment of a requisite amount (this amount covers the cost of application, fees for entrance test, and towards Service charges for Post offices) in cash at all the head post offices and all e-seva centers within the state of Andra Pradesh
Filled in Application should be submitted to the Regional Coordinator in person as mentioned in the Instruction Booklet or to the Convener, EAMCET (the year), SIT Building, Cellar portion, Kukatpally, Hyderabad – 500 085 by Regd. Post well in advance of the last date prescribed for submission of applications without late fee to avoid delays. Convener shall not be responsible for any postal delay or loss of application during transit.
Candidates are advised to submit the application online or submit the filled in applications to the concerned Regional Coordinators in person only. The candidates who submit the application only online need to submit the filled in application to the invigilator at the time of examination. The applications which are send in delay must pay a late fee in the form of Demand Draft on any nationalized bank payable at Hyderabad, in favour of The Convener, EAMCET - (respective year)

The course (Bachelor Of Technology) duration is 4 years( full time).
