Entrance test:
GSEB (Gujarat State Education Board), Government of Gujarat conducts a Common Entrance Test for admission to Engineering courses in colleges in the Gujarat state after Std. XII Science Stream.
Admission to B.E/B.Tech Courses in Government / University / Private Engineering Colleges in Gujarat affiliated to the Universities of Bhavnagar, Gujarat, MS Baroda, North Gujarat, Sardar Patel, Saurashtra and South Gujarat is made by the State-Level Admission Committee (SLAC).
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination Science Stream conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhingar or the candidates who have filled din application form for appearing and Eligible for appearing in the examination of Std. XII Science Stream/ candidates going to appear in examination of Std. XII Science Stream in the very year in which the candidates has filled in application form for Common Entrance Test.
EXAM PATTERN:
The question papers of the Common Entrance Test will be mostly based on the 10+2 Science syllabus prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Gujarat. The Gujcet exam will be conducted as four papers for each subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) between April -May. Each paper contains 40 questions. The Marks and Time allotted for each paper is 40 M and 60 minutes respectively. The medium of examination will be English

Marks of PCM = 70+70+100 = 240 :
60% of 240 = 144 (75% Weightage)
40% of GUJCET = 40% of 120 = 48 (25% Weightage)
Total Marks =192 (100%)
