@ Sonia, Courses available: One-year Postgraduate Diploma: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required. Applicants awaiting final year examination results or who will be graduating this year may also apply. One-year Diploma program: Students who have completed or awaiting results for 10+2 / pre-university are eligible to apply. All application materials must reach IIJNM by April 30, 2010, for the July 2010 entry point. The application will not be considered unless all materials are typewritten (or written legibly), signed and dated. Applications that do not reach by their due dates may not be considered. Note: Due to last minute cancellations by accepted candidates, a very limited number of seats might open up just prior to the start of the academic year. Hence, those desirous of admission may apply even after April 30, 2010 for those vacancies. Note: Early applicants may submit their applications prior to March 31, 2010, for consideration. These applicants will be notified of conditional acceptance by May 15, 2010. Admissions will be confirmed subject to qualifying examination results (if college final examination results are not available at the time of application).

Dolly Jones, the eligibiltiy and other details relating the journalism course is: The minimum educational qualification required to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Journalism is the successful completion of the 10+2 or equivalent level of education. Although some universities teach Journalism at the undergraduate level, the subject is vastly taught at the Postgraduate level in our country. Graduates of any stream are eligible to opt for the, courses. A Journalism degree or a diploma isn't strictly necessary, although some organisations prefer it. There is no substitute for practical training. However, a Postgraduate degree or Diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication is necessary, if one wishes to join, later in one's career, at different levels in the Indian Information Service or the different State Government information services. It can also help one to shift to a teaching career in Journalism institutes.
