MarketPlace, the first wholly online event of Intaglio 2009-10 -- IIM Calcutta’s annual international B-school meet was held on December 18, 2009. Intaglio will be held from January 7 to 10, 2010 at the MBA school’s campus. With prizes worth INR 100,000, more than 450 teams registered to participate in the war of marketing strategies. Teams from the IIMs, ISB and other leading Indian B-Schools competed with international colleges like CEIBS (China Europe International Business School), Shanghai on a common platform. The online event comprising three rounds tested strategy, consistency and general marketing awareness. The final evaluations would be done by the event sponsors Wild Stone.
Round II, which is the Grand Finale, would be held at IIM Calcutta from 7th to 10th January. Six teams, selected in the December 18 round would get a chance to make a presentation in front of eminent personalities from the industry and academia. They would have to prove their expertise in marketing by analyzing personal care industry and determining the future marketing strategy for Wildstone.
