Interview With Anshulika

She has completed her graduation in Computer Science Honours from IEHE(Institute for Excellence in Higher Education) Bhopal and now she got selected in KIAMS (Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies) Harihar for PGDM 2009-11. In her words - As i got placed in TCS(Tata consultancy Services) so joining company was an option for me. Other than that doing MCA was also an option for me as i was a computer science graduate.I had calls from ITM Navi Mumbai, IILM greater noida, Amity, SSIM hyderabad etc. Out of all these calls i appeared in GDPI of IILM greater noida and SSIM hyderabad and KIAMS and fortunately converted all. ITM was also good choice but as i converted KIAMS first so didnt attend ITM's GDPI process.

Management Student

I decided to do MBA because i think MBA is a degree that improves your whole personality. You work on your communication skills, you become more logical. It improves your decision making ability. You learn managing time, stress and many more that u learn when u persue MBA.
I came to know about KIAMS Harihar from my coaching's (TIME) seminar which was conducted to make us aware about good B-Schools in india and what is their cut off and other information regarding colleges and i came to know from there that KIAMS accepts only CAT and XAT scores which was an important condition for me when i decided about my MBA college.

After my XAT exam through analysis on various sites i calculated my expected percentile and with that percentile there were fair chances that i would get a call so i applied in KIAMS. I want to become a successful HR manager in a renowned company. For all MBA aspirants my message is give quality time to your MBA entrances preparations. All management exams need smart work rather than hard work. So work on your weaknesses and most importantly join some test series and as far as i know TIME's test series is best in india. Give all the tests which must be accompnied by analysis of that test as this is the only way with the help of which you'll come to know in what areas you need to work on.In all the test try to improve your speed but not at the cost of your accuracy. Both speed and accuracy should go hand in hand and that will be possible through practice only So Practise previous year papers as much as you can.

At the time of choosing college the best thing you can do is to discuss with some experts. As TIME's site given us a good facility to chat with TIME experts where one may tell them about expected or actual percentile and experts suggest students accordingly that where they should apply with that score.

After that the second step you should follow is go on site of college's and explore it fully in terms of AICTE approval, fees, infrastructure and most importantly placements. You can talk to alumni of the college so that you may get idea about the actual scenerio of the college.
Choosing a B-School is really a tough task for all MBA students specially for those who dont get calls from IIMs and other top 10 B-schools and as not only course fees but their forms are also too costly, sometimes students get puzzled. So i'll advise not to be panic. Be calm and talk to experts on this rather than asking everyone as it will confuse you and you'll get more tensed.
