Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in any stream are eligible to apply. They should have scored 50% or above. However there is an exception of 45% or above for those belonging to other classes. These candidates should also have taken mathematics or statistics in their plus two. They should have done these courses from a recognized institute.
Those who are appearing currently for the final year examination are eligible to apply, but they need to fulfill other criteria as per the requirements. They are required to submit their certificates on or before 25th September. Those who do not submit their certificates will not be given admission. The fees will also be forfeited.
Candidates who have qualified in Bachelor of Science (Computer/Information Technology) Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) courses from Maharashtra are eligible to apply for MCET. Those who have done their post graduation from Maharashtra are not eligible to apply.
How to Apply?
Those who wish to enroll for MCET can collect a “MAH-MCA-CET 2012 Kit” and Information Brochure from designated post offices across the country. All the important notifications are available on the official website. Candidates belonging to general category from Maharashtra, Jammu and Kashmir migrants and OMS can purchase their form by paying Rs 750/-. Those belonging to reserved category and are from Maharashtra have to pay Rs 550/-.Migrants from Jammu and Kashmir who wish to apply for OMS have to pay Rs 1500/-. They are required to purchase 2 kits. But they should submit only one application form.
