World famous universities like Cambridge, Imperial College and Oxford and few more are the famous universities that are located in UK. There are various Institutes in UK that provide Undergraduate degree to the students. Apart from that there even top colleges in UK that provide other educational programs. One point that has to be remembered here is it is very difficult to get the scholarships.

      Aspirants can study various courses like MBA, engineering, bachelors, masters and PhD programs .Below mentioned is the eligibility criteria to study in UK.

      Admission Procedure:

      There are various entrance exams conducted here for seeking admissions to Top Universities in UK.An English preparatory programme

      • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

      • IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

      • English language

      These exams are conducted by the aspirants to check the profiency.Most of the institutes give admissions to the students based on the score obtained in the test.

      The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is the entrance test to be taken by the students applying for a master degree in any field other than management. There are some universities in UK that do not accept GRE Score. All applicants applying for a master in management or Business Administration major must submit the result of Graduate degree. Management Admission Test (GMAT).

      In addition to these tests, all students whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a foreign language (TOEFL) or the IELTS.

      UK has number of universities offering undergraduate, graduate and post graduate courses at various levels. Universities accept 15 yrs (12+3) of education for entering into their PG programs.  The duration of most of the undergraduate degrees is for three years and, Master degrees for one yr hence saving you cost and time.

      Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree:

      For UG programs the candidates have to fill UCAS form. There are few exceptions as some of the universities can accept direct applications also.

      For PG programs, the student has to fill out the University/college form meant for international student. Different Universities and different colleges in UK have different entry requirements and also few of the courses also require little work experience.

      The student must also fulfill the requirement for English language by either giving IELTS or TOEFL if asked by the university. UK also has the same policy where in you can earn while sudying.Yes, you are allowed to work part time for 20 hrs per week as an International Student only if you are studying for a bachelor degree and Postgraduate course only. If you are studying for a Diploma course, you will be allowed to work for 10 hrs per week.

      There are various rates available for various courses in UK.Scholarships are usually available at post graduation level. Some Universities provide scholarships for specific programs only. All the scholarships are very competitive in nature and are based on merit. One can also work and stay there after completion of the courses provided one has to fulfill all the requirements of UK Border Agency.

      There are various houses and flats available for stay. Students can stay in those. Students can even share the stay with each other. All undergraduate applications for UK universities must be made through UCAS - the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service.

      The standard tests that student need to have appeared for are IELTS for most universities and colleges,TOEFL and for Management Courses the GMAT is requisite. whatever universities fit your bill and shortlist them depending on interest and financial situation, After you get acceptance letter from preferred university, apply for a VISA at the UK consulate in India. The major intake by most of UK universities is September/October, few Universities do offer January/February intake too.Most uk universities accept the Indian graduation system of three years for entry into most postgraduate courses. An Indian bachelor's degree like B.A., B.Com. Or B.Sc. is equivalent to a British Bachelor (Ordinary) Degree.
      This is the basic procedure to get admission in UK. Rest some norms can vary from university to university.
