GGITS, Jabalpur does not feature in Ranking of colleges.
However it has been rated A Rank by CAREERS 360 in All India Analysis of Engg. Institutes
f you pass diploma with good percentage (say above 60%)
you can directly get admssion in 2nd year of a b.tech or B.E program .

Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani, which has rejoined the survey after a hiatus, rockets to seventh place to emerge as the best privately run engineering institute.
While IIT-Delhi ranked first on all counts like reputation, academic input, infrastructure and job placement, it stood second in terms of student care.
That, however, did not make a difference to its top position in both perceptual and factual scores. IIT-Kharagpur, with a ranking of five for each theme, came second on the factual rank, thus beating IITKanpur, which scored four on the themes but fell to the sixth place on the factual score.

The institute has the maximum placement record in its very first batch and even government institutes like Jabalpur Engineering College & SGSITS, Indore are far behind from it. It has best looking building, excellent facilities, highly qualified faculties, many are from the IITs, best result, based on number of university toppers and maximum pass percentage, many new and innovative ways of teaching, each lecture hall is equipped with a DLP and is fully air-conditioned. Nearly every MNC visiting M.P. does an Open Campus Drive from this instute only. It has the best insfrastructure and the group has two more engineering colleges, one college of education, one college of computer application and three C.B.S.E. affilated schools with world class facilities.

2. Do whatever it takes to get an internship.
3. Be sure to be the top of your class.
4. Figure out a field for your masters while still getting your bachelors, then get your masters right away.
5. Professor politics is key in advancing your career.
6. KNOWING people that already have clout in an aero company is almost a necessity if you do not adhere to #3.
7. Be prepared to relocate a lot unless you get lucky.
8. Aerospace degree will over-qualify you for just about anything that is not an aerospace position.
9. Be prepared to operate off of little sleep and live under high stress environments during school.
10. Remembering equations is more important than actually understanding the material for exams. You can work on understanding the material once you get a job.
11. Be sure to find out the "good" professors for particular classes from older students and work your schedule around these classes (Probably the most important and often overlooked step).
