Lateral Entry Scheme is approved by Government of Kerala as per G.O (MS) No.156/2002/H.Edn. dated 13.11.2002 in 10% additional sanctioned seats. In order to maintain uniformity among various schemes of Diploma holders, AICTE has suggested a State level Entrance Examination for the selection of meritorious students who passed the Diploma with good academic records. AICTE has also suggested to conduct of remedial courses for Diploma holders admitted to Degree programmes through Lateral Entry for making up their deficiencies. These students will have to successfully complete such remedial courses within the stipulated time. The admission will be subject to the regulations of the Universities concerned.
Also, the engineering colleges in Maharashtra under DIRECTORATE OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION, MAHARASHTRA STATE also take lateral entry .

i m having 2 years mechanical draughts course thru. industrial training institute (i.t.i). right now in doing job in private company & want to join correspondence deploma course.

pl. suggest the name of affilated engg. polytechnic nearer to yamuna nagar, haryana who 'arranges definitely the deploma course (correspondence) for the year of 2010.
