There is also Express Institute of Media Studies (by Indian Express) in Delhi that offers a certificate course in Journalism. Started a year ago, it is well structured and admissions for next session starting august are on.

Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU Bhopal) is a well-known name in the field of mass commiunication and journalism education. Located at Bhopal, it is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Indian Universities. The university imparts education through its network of institutes. It has been granted jurisdiction throughout the country. It is not an open university and does not offer distance education.

Educational Streams
The university imparts education through its teaching departments at Bhopal, Campuses at Noida and network of study institutes spread over the country. Study Institutes running Diploma Courses are called Registered Study Institutes, while those offering Degree and Post Graduate Courses are called Associated Study Institutes. Prospectus of the university is finalised by eminent academics and professionals. Admissions are based on merit. Media courses in graduate and postgraduate levels are the core components of its academic zone. Study Institutes which take its courses to the students are non profit societies and trusts which are registered under the relevant laws.
