Animation colleges in India offer a variety of courses at various levels like certificate, diplomas, bachelors and masters degree. The admission process varies from institute to institute but the basic admission process always remains the same.

Eligibility criteria to study Animation

Students need to have cleared their class 12th in order to be eligible to pursue the animation courses. Apart from meeting the basic educational qualifications, the students with a creative bent of mind and possessing artistic and aesthetic skills may consider in this domain.

Various Entrance test
Some of the animation institutes may conduct entrance tests or aptitude test for seeking admissions in specific courses of the animation colleges. For Instances DSK Supinfocom Animation conducts an entrance exam that tests the student's knowledge in world geography, Indian history, world history, computer science, general science apart from areas like art analysis, narration (storyboard), drawing skills and creativity.

Creative Portfolio
Many colleges that offer courses in animations and design recommend that students produce a portfolio as the part of the application to the course. The portfolio is basically a collection of various samples of the art that can exhibit your talent. You may include Drawings, sketches, photography, design or any other form of art work that will help the institute's admissions panel to judge your eligibility for the programm.You must ensure that your portfolio is organized well and presented as artistically as possible to improve your chances of getting selected for the course.

After 10th class or 12th class there are various courses in Animation
B.Sc. courses (Animation courses are offered in B.Sc.( courses) like Digital Art and animation, visual effects, gaming and Graphic design and web development. The basic eligibility criteria for this are for candidates who have passed in 10+2(or) any other equivalent to PUC and recognized by KSOU.
One can also opt for Diploma courses in Animations you can also opt for 2D classical and digital animations, 3D animations, Graphic design and web development and web application. The eligibility criterion for these courses applies to the candidates who have passed 10+2 or any other equivalent to PUC and is recognized by KSOU.

Certificate courses in Animation

Certificate courses in Visual effects, certificate courses in Editing, mixing and post production, Architectural walkthrough, Interactive e-learning application and Interactive mobile application. The eligibility criterion to join these certificate courses in animation applies to those candidates who have passed 10 +2 or any other equivalent to PUC and recognized by KSOU.
