D.Ed Admission Process in West Bengal

D.Ed. is Diploma in Education which is a certificate level education course. There are so many D.Ed. Colleges and D.Ed. admission in West Bengal is almost same to other state colleges. In the general sense, education is also called learning, schooling and teaching. In technical sense, education means transfer of knowledge and values from one generation to another. The tenure of diploma in education is from one year to three years, but it varies from one institute to another institute. The course is also available on part time basis in some institutes. Diploma admission in West Bengal is beneficial because it is the job oriented course in the education field.  

Entrance exams:

The entrance exams for D.Ed. are as follows:

  • Haryana Board of School Education D.Ed. exam

  • Madhya Pradesh Board of secondary education D.Ed. exam

  • D.Ed. Common entrance test Maharashtra (MSCE)

D.Ed. Eligibility:

The eligibility criterion of D.Ed. admission in West Bengal is that the candidates have to complete their higher secondary education from a recognised board or university. The minimum percentage is 50% for this course is necessary. The relaxation for reserved categories varies up to 5 % in terms of marks.  Those candidates who have completed 18 yrs. of age at the time of admission are also eligible and the maximum age at the time of admission is 35 yrs. In terms of age, the relaxation of the reserved category is 5 years. As per state government orders reservation is given to SC, ST and OBC.

Application Procedure:

Those candidates who want to get admission for diploma in education have to pay an application fee of Rs.25/-by taking a demand draft. The demand draft should be in favour of the government of West Bengal school education directorate. Then apply in the prescribed format. The admissions of the candidates will be clearly based on the marks obtained in the respected examination. The applications can be downloaded from the official website of school education directorate for the D.Ed. admission in West Bengal.

Fees Details:

The fees for the D.Ed. admission in West Bengal will be charged as per the order of the West Bengal board of primary education. At the time of admission, Rs.5000 will be deposited, and it will be refunded after completing the course in the form of caution money.

Commencement of Session:

When the D.Ed. result will be announced then the commencement of the session of the colleges starts. And it started in July ever year and completed in June.

Attendance:

The candidates have to attend at least 80% lectures. If they can’t attend 80% lectures, then they will be treated as non-collegiate and are not able to give the final exams. These rules will be strictly followed.

This course in Navsari is offered under different specializations, To get admission to a particular specialization, applicants must have completed their higher secondary in 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 format, Both higher secondary/pre-university and degree must have been obtained from a recognized board and recognized university respectively.
