B.Ed Admission Process in Haryana

The candidates who want to make their career in the teaching field, B.ed is the good career option. After getting the degree of B.ed, candidates can get the prestigious school for teaching. Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra is conducting Centralized Online Counselling for B.Ed admission in Haryana. No. of seats to be filled up are around 60,000 in about 460 Colleges of Education located in the State of Haryana.

Eligibility For B.Ed Admission in Haryana:

Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor Degree and in the Master's Degree of Kurukshetra University, Maharshi Dayanand University Rohtak, C.D.L.U, Sirsa and Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishav Vidayalaya or any other Qualification recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme.

Eligibility Exception:

(i) 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.

(ii) 45% marks for Blind /Physically Handicapped and Visually Impaired candidates.

Division Of Seats

To get B.Ed admission in Haryana is not an easy task because seats become reserved according to subjects as well. 50% of the total seats in each college shall be reserved for Group-I i.e. Science & Arts with Maths-group candidates. Other 50% seats shall be reserved for Group-II i.e. Arts & Commerce Group Candidates.

Note:

Ø  The seats which remain vacant in Group-I i.e. Science & Arts with Maths-group can be converted in Group-II i.e. Arts & Commerce Group and vice-versa. Such vacant seats of one group will be converted into same category (General or Reserved) of the other group, and if still, these seats remain vacant only then these will be converted into General Category. The vacant seats of SC Categories in Govt./Govt. aided/ Maintained Colleges of Education will not be converted into General Category.

Ø  In the case of Tau Devi Lal Memorial College of Education, Manana (Panipat) out of total students 5% students shall be given admission with the consent of the Gram Panchayat. (reference letter by Financial Commissioner and Secretary to Government Haryana, Development and Panchayat Department)

Distribution And Reservation Of Seats

(A) Distribution of seats

The seats shall be distributed as under:

1) All India Category including Haryana: 15%

2) Bonafide Residents of Haryana: 85%

(B) Reservation of seats for Bonafide Residents of Haryana

The seats shall be reserved for the categories as under:

(i) Scheduled Castes: 20%

(ii) Backward Classes of Haryana: 27% (16 % for Block-A)

(iii) Physically Handicapped: 03%

(iv) 3% horizontal reservation will be given to Ex-servicemen/Freedom Fighters

Online Admission Procedure

Part A: - Submission of Application Form along with Choice Form Through

(Online Fee: Rs. 500/-) OR (OMR Application Form)

Part B: - First Online Counselling

1. Online Registration for Counselling (Fee Rs. 500/-)

2. Display of particulars of candidates(category wise) on the Website

3. Personal details and choice editing, if required

4. Mock Counselling

5. Change of Choices (last chance), if desired

6. Allotment of Colleges Stage - I

(Only for Science Group)

(a) Allotment of College

(b) Generation of College wise list of selected candidates of Science Category

(c) Deposition of the token fee of Rs. 10,000/- in the Bank

(d) Either downloading of allotment letter by the candidates if satisfied with the allotment of college Or Opting for Auto-upgradation

(e) Verification of original documents at the allotted colleges

(f) Reporting of vacant seats by colleges on the website (admitted and vacant.

7. Allotment of Colleges only for Arts Group (including Vacant Seats in Science Group) Stage – II

The steps followed in 6 (a to f) will be repeated.

8. Allotment of colleges for vacant seats of Haryana General Category, if any, will be Stage – III

The steps followed in 6 (a to f) will be repeated.

9. Similarly, the step followed in 6(a to f) will be repeated for second counselling.

Duration of B.Ed Course: The duration of the course of the degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) shall be one year.

Fee for B.Ed Course:

1. Govt./Govt. Aided/University Rs. 10,000/-

2. Self-Financing College of Education Rs. 38,500/-
