CA, CWA and CS - Taking Up Multiple Courses Simultaneously

CA, CWA and CS - Taking Up Multiple Courses Simultaneously

Generally, many students have a doubt as to whether they can simultaneously take the Chartered Accountancy, Costs and Works Accountants and Corporate Secretaryship courses simultaneously. Experts are stating that this is possible and they recommend that a student can take one or two of these courses side-by-side as per his/her convenience.

What is the reason?

This recommendation is given because all three courses are related to the profession of accounting itself and so the subjects are similar to each other. Not only papers, the total educational syllabus to be covered in all three courses share some similarities. However, each of these courses has its own specialization area that is built over the common educational content. This is why this recommendation is given and of course it depends on the ability of the student and the education support he/she gets.

Expenditure to be considered:

Not only his/her eligibility and competence, it is also important the course takers will have to consider the financial expenses to be made. With proper planning, a candidate can take one or two of these courses simultaneously besides continuing their degree course under formal education.

Examination dates:

Even the examination dates will be convenient for the candidates. The reason is that there will not be any clash of examination dates too. However, both for CS and CWA course examinations are conducted in the same month every year, which occurs on the month of December. A practical approach to follow is to take two courses along with graduation and not three.

How is it possible?

It is possible because when a candidate gains deep knowledge on a subject, he/she will find the same subject appearing in the other course as well.

How is it possible?

It is possible because when a candidate gains deep knowledge on a subject, he/she will find the same subject appearing in the other course as well. So, with a single preparation, taking up the paper on both courses will become possible. There will be change only in the exam orientation and this can also be easily managed with the help of past question papers.

The possibility lies in gaining the highest possible in-depth knowledge, which will turn out the clearing process easier.

Additional subjects:

Even though, the papers will be more or less similar, the syllabus will have some differences and one course will have some additional chapters, while in some courses some in-depth idea would be given on a chapter. So, a comparison between the syllabuses becomes important, so that additional subject knowledge should be gained when it becomes essential.

What should students be aware of?

Even though, it will be beneficial to do more than a single course at the same time, a student should ensure that he/she is capable of coping with the extra efforts to be made and he/she should get adapted to the requirements of the different examinations in the same subject at the same time. It is highly recommended that students should not take up more courses just for greed for achieving or for hurry. When these courses are done simultaneously when doing the degree course, it will be easier for ensuring a better career. It is better not to take up multiple courses if a student feels that this approach will disturb his/her concentration.
