There are many institutions which offer the course of LLB through distance learning. And according to the Bar Council of India, it has imposed age restrictions for LLB courses. The amended rules on age limit is as follows, maximum age for admission for five years LLB course is 20 and the maximum age for the three years LLB courses is 30.

Some of the distance learning universities which offer this distance learing course are Symbiosis Society's Law College Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, National Law School of India University, Faculty of Law, Univ of Madras, Aligarh Muslim University and Amity University of distance learning

There is online study facility available for the students here the students can send the questions on mails and then get the reply back. Here the students and professors login in on the interest to secure a virtual classroom environment and can immediately engage in oral discussions, debate etc.Audio/video cds are distributed among all the students. Distance education in law is available in several domains such as Civic Law, Criminal Law, Administration, Cyber Laws and Intellectual Property Rights, Trade Law, Business Law, Medical Law and Ethics, Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Women and Law, Consumer Protection Law, Local Self-Government Law, Labour Law etc.
