The Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology has announced the exam dates for the NAT 2016 test. This test is conducted for admission of students to the Bachelor of Technology course. The application process for the test was open from the 15th of September 2016 and it is still on and will continue till the 31st of May 2016. The date of the test is announced as 5th of June 2016 and the results for the same will be declared on the 12th of June 2016. The institute has also announced that the first counseling for admission to the B. Tech course will begin from the 21st June 2016 and the classes will begin from the 3rd of August 2016.
What will be the test pattern?
There will be totally 100 multiple choice question in the test 50 each from mathematics and physics. The duration of the test will be two and half hours and for every correct answer given by the candidate, he/she will get 3 marks, while there will be a deduction of one mark for every incorrect answer. Candidates, who have not already applied for the institute for the B. Tech course, should know the eligibility requirement before applying, which is given below:
To apply for the course, candidates must have completed their higher secondary with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Apart from these two subjects, they must also have studied, one out of computer or chemistry. The mark requirement is 45% for applicants, which is 40% in the case of reserved category candidates. Not only this qualification, but also candidates with any other qualification considered as equivalent by the institute will be considered for admission. In addition to these requirements, it is important that candidates must be at least 17 years of age on the day one of the month of admission.
What is the admission procedure followed by the institute?
Admission to the 75% of the seats inclusive of the 15% of all India seats will be made based on the JEEE 2016 (Main) merit ranking. The remaining 25% of seats are reserved by the institute, which will be filled on the basis of the merit list prepared on the basis of NAT score.
The B. Tech course is followed by APIIT in the following branches:

How to apply?
Candidates interested in applying can download the application from the website of the institute or they can also get the application from the campus. The cost of application form with brochure is Rs.700. In both online and offline application submission, the applicants will have to make the payment for application form in the form of Demand Draft, drawn in favor of APIIT SD India payable at Panipat. This DD should be sent to the institute after applying online and candidates applying offline should also submit the DD when they submit the filled in application form.
