Udaipur Boy Scored 100% And Emerged JEE Main Topper 2019


The first rank in India in JEE Main goes to Kalpit Veerwal! To the surprise of educationists from around India, he has secured 360 out of 360. This Udaipur Boy is a cricket enthusiast. He has created the history of being the first person to secure cent percent marks in JEE Main.

Success credit to his teachers and parents:

He credits his success to his teachers and parents. They have provided a lot of support to him during the preparation process. He has stated that his hard work, his focus and his confidence levels has helped him grab the first All India Rank. He shares his success mantra here to help all candidates in the future.

First reaction:

He said he felt very happy about grabbing the first position. He has not thought of first rank. His teachers and parents were also happy about his first rank at All India level.

Schooling:

He studied in MDS Public School in Udaipur, where he studied CBSE-based syllabus.

Mode of examination:

He chose the offline mode for JEE Main 2017. He opted for this mode because of his practice in pen and paper mode in his coaching class.

Reason for choosing engineering and branch of engineering:

He actually did not have a lot of thoughts before he opted for engineering. His basic interest towards all subjects made him enjoyed whatever he studied. His aim of study was not high marks. But, he aimed at enhancing his knowledge of the subjects he learns. He joined coaching class for JEE main for guidance. He also shows his interest towards computer science engineering branch.

Preparation strategy:

Kalpit Veerwal said that he started his preparation for JEE Main from his 8th standard. Yet, he started to prepare with full focus for the exam from his 11th standard. His habit was to study every day after school and he never missed any of his classes. He followed the advice of his teachers. He prefers morning preparation than late night preparation.

Balance between the board exam and JEE Preparation:

Many students face difficulty in balancing between board exam preparation and JEE preparation. Kalpit said that he never ignored board exam preparations. He revised the entire syllabus for board exams for the first time in November. Again, he did a revision for the second time in February. During the final phase, he revised the whole syllabus from NCERT books.

Importance of coaching for JEE:

He got coaching from Resonance Coaching Institute for JEE Main. He said that the coaching helped him a great extent during his JEE Preparation process. The teachers in the coaching institution provided the required guidance that he expected. They also answered all his queries that helped him improve his knowledge.

Usefulness of mock tests and sample papers in JEE preparation:

Kalpit said that he took coaching for two years. Resonance organized many mock tests once in every three weeks. His solving of previous year question papers also helped him in scoring well.

Books for JEE Preparation:

Kalpit prepared from NCERT books and the study materials from his coaching institution. He followed the same NCERT books for his board exams. Also, he took reference from authors like HC Verma in his preparation for JEE Main.

Difficulty subject in the preparation process:

He did not find any subject to be difficult. Furthermore, he got the best guidance from his teachers. It helped him score well and prepare each subject with ease. Moreover, he enjoyed studying each subject.

Hobbies and personal interests:

Kalpit loves music, badminton, and enjoys playing cricket. He also stated that Coldplay is his favorite rock band in music niche.

Role model:

He admires his teachers and parents a lot and he does not have any specific role model.

Advice to future JEE aspirants:

Hard work, focus, and confidence are the three keys to success. Also, it is important to study regularly. Furthermore, aspirants should strictly follow the advice of teachers. Even, if a student does not succeed, it is not the end of the road. The reason is that there are many other options to explore in this world of opportunities.
