Engineering Admission Process in Haryana

Entrance test:

Admissions shall be made on the basis of the inter se merit of AIEEE through On-line Off-Campus counseling by NIC.

The State of Haryana has decided not to conduct separate State entrance test CEET for admissions to AICTE approved B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch programmes offered by Universities through their designated departments, Government /Government Aided/Private unaided minority & non-minority institutions located in the State.

Eligibility Criteria:

Academic Qualification-

Minimum educational qualifications for  B.E / B.Tech should be 50% marks in 10+2 examination  from recognized Board/University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following  subjects : Chemistry, Bio- Technology, Computer Science, Biology.

OR The candidate must have passed diploma course in Engineering/Technology of three years duration or more from State Board of technical education Haryana or its equivalent Diploma Education.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

~  Admission Brochure and Registration form can be obtained at the sale counters of all Government/Government Aided/Private Institutes offering B.E./ B.Tech programme and also in the camp office of Haryana State Counseling Society/ Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana, SCO 38-39,Sector 17A, Chandigarh. The form can also be download from the prescribed website. The admission Brochure and Registration form for the admission to Engineering courses are only for that particular academic year. Its contents are subject to change without prior notice.

~  The candidate also need to deposit a pre-requisite registration fee for counseling Through cash /draft/cash transfer in the account of Haryana State Counseling Society in any of the Centralized Banking Solution (CBS) branch of Punjab National Bank on the prescribed format which is available in the Admission Brochure. Candidates are advised in their own interest to deposit counseling participation fee before the Registration and to check display of their fee deposited entry on counseling website. In case, fee entry is not displayed on the counseling website the concerned PNB branch may be contacted immediately.

RESERVATION OF SEATS:

(A) All India Category Seats = 15% of intake
(B) State Quota                     = 85% of intake

  • Haryana Open (General)               = 50% of State Quota i.e. 42.5% of intake
  • Reserved Categories of Haryana  =  50% of State Quota i.e. 42.5% of intake

Scheduled Castes(Category-A)

10% of State Quota (8.5% of intake)

Scheduled Castes (Category-B)

10% of State Quota (8.5% of intake)

Backward Classes of Haryana (A)

16% of State Quota (13.6% of intake)

Backward Classes of Haryana (B)

11% of State Quota (9.3% of intake)

Physically Handicapped

3% of State Quota (2.55% of intake)

3% reservation is provided to Ex.Serviceman / Freedom Fighters and their dependents by providing reservation within reservation of 1% of General Category, 1% out of Scheduled Castes and 1% from Backward Classes for admissions to various educational institutions of Government and Government Aided. 25% horizontal reservation in all above categories shall be provided for girl candidates

DURATION:

The course (Bachelor Of Technology) duration is 4 years( full time).

SELECTION:

Counseling—

~ Admissions shall be made  through On-line Off-campus counseling by NIC. To participate in the counseling, it is mandatory for every candidate to register himself/herself through counseling website. Also they must pay a pre-requisite registration fee for counseling through cash/draft/ cash transfer, in the account of Haryana State Counseling Society in any of the Centralized Banking Solution (CBS) branch of Punjab National Bank on the prescribed format which is available in the Admission Brochure.

~  There will be 5 stages of counseling. A candidate may not be eligible on the 1st day of counseling but may be eligible on subsequent days of counseling.

~  A candidate shall be allowed for change of his/her registration details on the counseling websites as and when required before locking of choices during counseling period. In case any candidate changes registration details after submission of choices, but before locking, all choices filled earlier will be initialized and all choices will be required to be filled in again. However locking of submitted choices is essentially required.

~  After the result of 1st counseling, the candidate is required to deposit a specified amount of fee in case a seat is allotted.  The deposition of this admission fee will entail the candidate to confirm the admission in the allotted institute besides other formalities of joining/reporting in designated institute by the candidates and verification of credentials.

~ The candidates, at the time of reporting must bring the following Original Certificates / Documents / Testimonials along with three sets of duly attested photocopies of these with them. Any candidate, who fails to produce any of the required Certificate / Document / Testimonial at the time of reporting the institution, will forfeit his/her claim to admission.

I )  Qualifying Examination i.e. 10+2/ Intermediate/ SSE Examination.
ii )  Matriculation/High school certificate
iii ) AIEEE rank card
iv ) Character Certificate
v )  Residents Certificate  if applicable

vi ) Certificate from the Employer in the case of Employees of Government of Haryana,if applicable.
vii ) Scheduled Caste Certificate, if applicable. 
viii ) Backward Class Certificate ,if applicable.
ix ) Certificate in respect of Physically Handicapped Candidates,  if applicable

x ) Certificate required to be furnished by the Children & Grand-children of FreedomFighters.

No, for getting admission in IIMs for management course, you should have to clear entrance exam, but there are many other MBA colleges in Kurnool where without entrance you can take admission
