Entrance Exams:

The entrance exam for engineering admission in Maharashtra is MHT CET. This is a single common entrance exam conducted by Maharashtra state for Engineering and Medical UG programs. The exam is held in all district headquarters of Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criterion for engineering admission in Maharashtra is that the candidates should be an Indian citizen. They passed their senior secondary exams with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the biotechnologies, chemistry, biology, technical or vocational subject. The minimum percentage criterion is 50% and 45% in case of backward class and disability candidates, and the score in MHT CET is also important. For Jammu and Kashmir Migrant candidates, there is one more entrance exam called JEE main paper I. There is a reservation for sons and daughters of defence service personnel. And the other reservations are as follows:

Application Procedure:

Those candidates who want to take admission in engineering colleges in Maharashtra have to fill their application form online by paying required fees through CAP under all India seats or to be eligible for admission under Institutional Quota seats. The fee of examination is 700, and the duration of this course is four years.

MHT CET

MHT CET is an entrance exam for engineering admission in Maharashtra which is conducted in May. This exam is organised by State common entrance test cell for getting admission to undergraduate degree courses. The pattern for MHT CET exam is as follows:

The candidates who want to take admission in engineering college should give the Paper I and Paper III. At the end of paper, the student will give the OMR Answer sheet and Question booklet to the invigilator. There is no choice among the questions it means all questions have to be answered.  There is no negative marking for wrong answers. The syllabus of the exam will be the same as for the current year for senior secondary examination of senior secondary Boards of Maharashtra.  The medium for examination shall be English or Marathi or Urdu for Physics, Chemistry only and mathematics paper comes in English.

Hello, good to see that you are from West Tripura, for IITs and NITs, you have to give entrance exam, For NITs JEE Main is the entrance exam and for IITs JEE Advanced is the entrance exam
